Did you see Pink's amazing Grammy performance? The one wear she wore the body suit and spun around in the air, all while singing this lovely ballad. It was pretty great.
Do you remember The Dan Band? Jay Leno had them in a regular feature on his awful Jay Leno Show. But before that they were the ones that sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in Old School and you can't point the finger right at them for thousands of drunk karaoke singers plugging in "fucking" at inopportune times.
Most recently, they were featured at the end of The Hangover covering 50 Cent's "Candy Shop".
Now, they have reenacted Pink's Grammy performace, complete with aerial spinning, but, thank God, no skimpy body suit.

Don't scoff. Just listen to it. And you will realize why Leona Lewis is my girlfriend. She may not know it yet, but it is true. In case you don't know, "Run" is a cover of the band Snow Patrol, who you know better from their inescapable ballad "Chasing Cars."

Amazing pop song for this godforsaken holiday of hearts. Indie band from Detroit that Paulie and I saw a few times. Last I heard, they broke up. Sad. If they could write more catchy songs like this one, they probably would have made it big eventually.

Video of the Day:
Keeping with the theme of "Alternative Love Songs" (AKA songs that you wouldn't typically classify as romantic or mushy or whatever, but still deal with the idea of love) comes the first single from Weezer's 1995 album, Pinkerton.
"El Scorcho" - Weezer
